Beautiful stuff, as always. Ya know I lurve you <3

Just three things, two anatomical, one technique-wise:

The two anatomy issues are sort of minor, but good to know, for technical shit. Only one sort of stands out noticed, while the other one's a mistake that even pros make 'all the time', I find it sort of amusing (when I see it on pro work), myself having issues with anatomy still haha

The noticeable thing would be his left shoulder, the one holding the shield. It should extend out more, more shoulder shown and connecting to the upper arm, from the angle that the shield's portraying. The upper arm's a bit too short.

Second's the one that I see is the one that seems to be trivial in a lot of art, even professional; the left knee, how the leg is bent. Naturally, the bulge of the calf would push the lower leg down a bit from the hamstring, forming an acute angle, not such a neat fold. Now, it shows speed, movement, so on, but isn't truly possible, unless it's being weighed down in such a position. It's trivial, as far as composition, but anatomically-say, it's not quite possible

Third's somethin that I've noticed in your work for a while, and it's minor. It fits your style, but it's just a personal thing of mine regarding using custom brushes. His beard, with the custom brush, is noticeably made using a custom brush. It does save time and whatnot, but thinkin that going back over the beard with individual strands, or more fleshing/refining of the beard would help mask the bluntness and noticeable "pattern" from the strokes of the custom brush. Everything else looks swank, but the beard and hair sort of stand out, due to this.

rofl First crit, hope I did okay. You're an inspiration to me, always have been since I'd first come across you years ago. I dunno if I ever got to say that watchin you grow has been a joy, and one of the subliminal reasons on why I still strive to improve my own works. Here's to a bright future, Das.

That is awesome. I like the skin and the expression on the face. It's so detailed. I give it two thumbs up on this. I do agree with UnshackledFenrir with the left shoulder, but other than that, it's way too awesome.

Thanks! The face gave me quite a bit of trouble. In fact, I was still working on finishing it up, when my tablet suddenly went screwy, and I decided to simply call it done, for better or worse. ( Seems to work again now - Perhaps it just felt like it deserved a break. :P )

You're very welcome. I really really give you two thumbs up for that drawing. I have to get back into drawing again. I was the best drawer in 8th grade, but now, I can't even draw that good. I'm going to draw some characters that I want to do and post them on here and on some other sites.

Thanks! Yeah, I agree with pretty much all of Fen's suggestions and shall work on these things in the future. "Work it harder, make it better, do it faster, makes us stronger, more than ever hour after, our work is never over~" *sings* :la:

Wow. Really, wow. For some reason I am loving the tattoo, and the way you did the scratches/injuries. (Not that I like to see people get injured, but you know what I mean I think.)

Nice work on the coloring and details, particularly the lighting on the skin, muscle tones and background. I'm wondering how you did it though. Was it a photo, reference, or from scratch?

The only thing I think I can point out is the hand holding the shield. I think the perspective is off, if you wanted the shield to be facing slightly forward. It sometimes helps to look at your own hand.

No ref, no lines, a whole lot of tweaking and re-painting. And re-re-painting. And re-re- ... You get the idea.

For the most it went pretty smoothly, actually, just certain problem areas like his hands and face consumed a lot of time, and nearly made me go bonkerz on several occasions...

>It sometimes helps to look at your own hand.

Nah. My hands are weird. :o

That can happen. Sometimes, it will look okay, but only because I've been staring at it for so long, and then I come back to it later, and find it has issues, particularly the face.

I've been told starting over from scratch again might be a good idea if you can't seem to fix the same mistake; you'll draw the entire thing differently, and the mistake might not be there anymore.

Yeah, I do just scrap things sometimes, and redo em, or go for a different idea. That's easier when the WIP is still in drawing stage, though.
